Church sustains heavy damage after fatal crash in Los Angeles

- An overnight fatal crash in South Los Angeles claimed the life of one man and severely damaged a church. A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told KTLA that the collision happened on East Manchester Avenue in L.A.’s Green Meadows neighborhood around 12:20 a.m. Saturday. The spokesperson confirmed that the driver, only identified as a Hispanic man, was traveling west on Manchester when he lost control and smashed into Challenge of Faith Church of God in Christ. Church officials told KTLA 5’s Omar Lewis that this is the fourth time a vehicle has smashed into their house of worship. (May 4, 2024)

That was not a dip in the road, it was excessive speed. Omar is doing a great job and I like him. I wish he and the photographer would have walked and shown us a dip in the road. I stopped the video when headlights come into view and I see a flat roadway.
Also did the driver hit a light pole directly in front of the tree?
The Minister makes it sound like it is the roadways fault, so show us.
It was excessive speed while hitting a dip. I'm familiar with that intersection and speed with that dip can cause major damage to a car.

It's not a residential street. It's a major intersection with a serious design flaw that needs to be fixed. There is no sign posted alerting drivers to the hazard. People that slow down are aware of the dip from experience.
Its the dips fault for causing all these highspeed drivers to lose control of their vehicles 😂

For those of you not familiar with the street, there is a large dip at that intersection, and there is no sign alerting drivers of the hazard. Traveling at a high rate of speed and hitting that dip can cause a loss of control of the vehicle. Most drivers are aware and slow down, but a posted sign would help, or, better yet, just fix the street!!!
The dip is there for water runoff, if you flatten it, it’ll flood. If they were doing the posted speed limit they would be fine. I hit that bump before in an envoy aswell.

I live around this area, honestly sad. There were little blood spots on the sidewalk too.
He was in a hurry to attend the church services but didn’t made up.
That dip at the intersection is about 100 yards from the church, he must have been going very very fast.
